You can run on either PS2 or PS3, technically PS3 is faster in load times but it's also more annoying because of the punch glitch. Everyone who runs Jak 2 plays on PS2.

We don't mind giving explanations if there are specific things you are struggling with, I'd suggest watching the world record speedrun and seeing how far you can follow it along :)

This is just a fun little thing to get people playing more categories/games with a little bit of competition! It's not official but I think it's pretty cool. :)

@PackSciences: I just tried what you said and it works, however I can't do that without adding a the category to every single challenge (we have some challenges that would require an ascending time and some that would require descending, but the only way currently seems to be to have both for every challenge and disregard the one that shouldn't be there)

Some games contain minigames which which may revolve around getting a higher score or the longest time possible. Is it possible that these will ever be integrated into the site, despite not exactly being speedrun related? I have seen interest in high scores from several players of Jak II and I'm sure that there are other games where people are interested in seeing how far they can take them, too.

If you use the ledge you don't even need to glitch high jump, you can glitch double jump instead and it's much easier. You can just shoot, quickly jump, double jump, shoot, spin, shoot and you should make it over.

There's also uppercutting under the fences, or getting the invisibility and jumping from the pole over the fence

It would have pretty much the same differences between Any% no oob and Hero Mode no oob as there were between Any% and Hero mode before desert rolljumping was introduced.

Namely, it would have the Hero Mode blaster mod strat, no cave/destroy eggs, and a longer final boss. I'm fairly sure everything else would be the same.

You should probably start checking that people who want to make/run leaderboards are trustworthy and that their community is fine with it, since it seems to have been an issue lately

I hope that this website can get better because it is a really great idea, there are just some problems like these that are hindering it in my opinion
