I use heavy weapons for any%: -before fforwarding sirus/isa dialogue, pause and spin 3 wheels, reset unless you get a good 2h weapon or 10k+ from selling gems. (bare minimum you should have the Imperial (9,250) after finishing the tutorial) -once out of tutorial, buy and equip the Imperial (unless the wheels gave something better) -at this point, collect all chests and most money bags (dont waste time) and save up for Granite Hammer -go through the game, Thane, Thane>Archivist, keep saving until 29,750 for Granite Hammer -After Archivist, go straight to MX-Goliath, you should definitely have GraniteHammer before Goliath fight -For Goliath Fight: Use the large health regen pot. Take damage as much as possible to charge the stun (usually you can get 2 to 3 stuns in). Try and block the last hit or two of an attack string to charge the stun and also get a break. -After MX-Goliath, go straight to Stone Demon, Use big key on the chest there, if you get the gold drop, buy the Iron Stone and stop worrying about collecting gold, otherwise use your best judgement on what to spend on for the rest of the run. -During the cutscene of reaching into the hole to open the seal, force quit and restart the game, this will let you continue on to thane without restarting the castle.
-Proceed and beat Thane and then Raidriar, raidriar has no attack element, so dont be afraid to block if you're not comfortable getting parry breaks, that also goes for using a shield pot or not, also if you don't know Raidriar's stepbacks very well, two of them can be completely blocked with just the middle block.
