:: How To: Read Splits ::

"Splits" Are the runners PB Run (Personal Best) broken into sections, to see how it compares to there current run. (Some runners use custom split colors, but the concept is the same)

  • Faster than PB Run
  • Slower than PB Run

Gold / Rainbow - New Personal Best on that Split/Segment Bright green - Ahead and pulling further ahead Dark Green - Ahead but losing time Grey - Exactly even with PB (ex. 00.00 ) Light red - Behind but catching up Dark Red - Behind and falling further behind

"Sum of Best" Essentially all the runners gold splits strung together into the ideal run. The time the player would get if they did all the stages tied with their best times for each stage/segments.

:: Elaboration on Splits :: By: Cartina

Lets say a player has a run with 3 splits, Stage 1, Stage 2 and Stage 3.

The player has a terrible stage 1 that is 30 seconds slower than his personal best. That split will now read +30 in red. (since he lost time)

Then the player has a Stage 2 that is 15 seconds faster than his PB. This one will now read +15 in light red. (since he gained/saved time on this split but is still behind his PB run)

On stage 3 the player has the best Stage 3 he has ever done and gains/saves 7 seconds. The final split will now read +8 in gold. (since that is the fastest that segment has EVER been completed, but the run itself was slower than there PB run)

Its important to note even with a gold time, the previous part of the run was so bad it wasn't enough to put it ahead / PB.
