My latest personal best run of 'Grim Fandango: Remastered', and my sixth run submitted to speedrun.com.

I hadn't touched GFR since May 2022 until about a week ago when I decided to give the game another shot on my week off over Christmas.

I'm glad to see that the WR has improved and new content has been produced since I last ran this game. Shout-out to hyperformance and thewoofs for the videos and information; especially helpful was realising that I could use 4 buttons to skip dialogue rather than just 2, which has not only sped up the dialogue skipping but has made it far easier as well!

Back in May I was targeting a sub 1:05:30, however due to improvements to both the strats and my execution of them I rather smashed that target this run, achieving a PB in all 6 segments! There are definitely a few areas where I'm losing time to my old PB just because I'm still a bit rusty, especially in Year 1, but the new strats more than make this time back.

As with my other runs, my apologies for the screen capture dropping frames in places - I'm using a 10+ year old PC which does not like running screen capture! See about 15 seconds into the run for an example.
