"Connection to the server has been lost" - how should I do full story runs?

There's currently a bug with Legends where every once in a while, there will be a popup saying "Connection to the server has been lost." Usually, all it does is block the screen from being broadcast while the popup is up. I've had a few IL runs be rejected because of this, but what happens if it were to occur in the middle of a full story run? Would I need to return to the lobby and restart the level, or would the full run be invalidated due to me restarting a level?

Saw your run comment, I didn't get a notification about the post or I would have responded sooner, sorry. (You might get a quicker response if you join the Discord, but I understand reluctance to add YET ANOTHER server you're just gonna mute, I feel that too)

If you irretrievably cannot produce a VOD without substantial missing footage by using console streaming, then my best advice is don't use console streaming. Record your TV screen with your phone or some other camera. Report IGT in your run comment and a verifier can check it against the known start and end times for IGT (in case it's less than clearly visible in the recording). Moderate-to-long-term, I strongly suggest investing in an HD capture card. They're not that expensive (certainly an amount I imagine you can save up for, if you're already involved in an expensive hobby like gaming), and they will definitely provide the best video for speedrun submissions. And just streaming in general.

I was gonna link you to the one I use, but it looks like they don't make it anymore. This one looks pretty standard - https://www.amazon.com/Elgato-Game-Capture-HD60-PlayStation/dp/B01DRWCOGA/ref=sr_1_3?dchild=1&keywords=elgato+capture+card&qid=1606724255&sr=8-3

I can certainly understand if you couldn't purchase it right here and now, but I suggest it as a future goal if you want to take streaming/speedrunning seriously.

There are more affordable options of course - https://www.amazon.com/TDisplay-Capture-Streaming-Nintendo-Broadcast/dp/B08LYK4V7H/ref=sr_1_5?dchild=1&keywords=elgato+capture+card&qid=1606724421&sr=8-5

I can stand behind the quality of the first one (it's an updated version of the one I use), not sure at all how good the less expensive ones are.
