Since this is a new game, submission requirements are subject to change as the speedrun develop.
These are the General Rules. Refer to the Category Rules for more details for the category.
➣ Switching movement types mid-run is NOT allowed.
➣ Turbo controllers and macro inputs are banned.
➣ Video proof of the entire run is required for ALL runs, starting at the difficulty selection, and ending after making your one and only save at the final typewriter following the results screen (you cannot make any other saves besides the final typewriter save).
➣ ALL runs MUST have game sound. External music is allowed as long as the game audio is clearly audible.
➣ Runs are ranked by in-game time shown on the results screen and NOT the one shown in the final typewriter save. You still need to make your one and only save at the final typewriter following the results screen (you cannot make any other saves besides the final typewriter save).
Please do not forget to include your one and only final typewriter save in your video proof when submitting your run; I had to reject a handful of submissions since the VoD did not contain the final typewriter save.

Video guide by MIKE__WAVE:
With Ditman this skip saves ~38 seconds on 60 FPS and ~11 seconds on 30 FPS. Without Ditman this skip saves around 1 minute.
Both methods work on consoles as well!

Console runs need to show a video/photo proof of the the final typewriter segment! This is to ensure that runs are single segment, and that runs are not being spliced from a separate save file!
If you are submitting video proof, please do NOT forget to include this in your submission!
Example:
For world record runs, FULL video proof is required, from beginning to end (includes final typewriter save).
