And I have an everlasting invite link: https://discord.gg/q9JYRps
It is a general JJR group, but there's a channel section dedicated to speedrunning. I did this because I don't think the community size is big/active enough to suffice separate groups.
Posting here too because it covers all Jazz titles.

The application looks too close to the splits. You can change that by clicking edit scene then dragging the game window in the preview. Also you should check inner window instead of entire window (via right clicking the corresponding source then properties) to get rid of the borders.
Protip: Don't use monitor capture. It's harder to read, uses more data and CPU, and looks unprofessional. Better to use window capture on the game application and livesplit.
Splits (AKA timers) aren't a requirement, they're just commonly used for the runner to keep track of how fast (or slow) they're going. It's merely a tool of convenience.
I heard the JJ1 autosplitter was linked on a Twitch stream. So, when is it being put here?
I think the best case-scenario would be is to get an IGT splitter working. IGT would get priortised over realtime.
For old records though, hmm. Someone would need to subtract the loading/menu times to calculate IGT. Fortunately, there's only three records.
The other scenario, like you said - would be to now have a ruled setting for cycles. This could cause other records which don't follow the guidelines to become invalid or cause complications, which doesn't sound so good.
Also, can we count milliseconds please? It promotes competition. Same goes for JJ2.
I've noticed single episode run recordings popping up, particularly by CapnClever. Should there be a new category for them?
Also I wouldn't say no to individual episode categories for JJ2 either. Except for the TSF episode itself (since that is its own game).
Well, it seems to not be a bug. It's that I have to reject all runs by this deleted account (that includes the obsolete ones) one by one. That's tedious, but I managed to do it anyway.
Still, an oversight.
Binaryblob rejected this because it's from his old account, but the run did not get removed at all.
http://www.speedrun.com/run/pm31k1qz Here's an example.
I'm guessing the problem is that records can't be removed if it was verified from a deleted account. Seems like an oversight.
Hey, welcome to speedrun.com! I mostly play 2D platformers.
Never knew there was a video game based on the movie. Will probably get it because guinea pigs (gotta live up to my avatar!). Looks like it's easy to speedrun, but it also seems the cutscenes are unskippable, which sounds boring. Would probably be the kind of game I'd chill run to (chilling and speedrunning can be done at once, no?).
I had purchased Dustforce DX, Shovel Knight, Shantae and the Pirates Curse, Deadcore, Gunstar Heroes and Alien Soldier.
My backlog is starting to get big now, despite a small library. I got fixated gaming problems.
Dunno, I seem pretty good at making people laugh..and making cheesy-ass puns, but I relate to men more than women (it runs deeper than something as this). I'm no comedian though, I just crap out jokes whenever I feel theres a time for one.
I hope I don't get asked for examples, it's not as funny on demand (many require some degree of understanding the source material).
In a nutshell: It depends...and as always, humor is subjective. I don't like shock (most), gross out and strawmanning humor.
Would be stupid to say that just because someone is female, they're automatically unfunny.
UUUgh I clicked a another page and all of my post died...so heres to start again. Will only post the most major issues this time.
- Why is there a home button when clicking speedrun.com does the same thing?
- Too much vertical spacing, equaling more fluff.
- Header takes up too much space. Everything could fit in a single column, as we don't need that much space for a search bar. Also, if the header is extended because of mobile compatibilty reasons, then it could simply extend vertically when the width is too short.
- Sub level formatting got screwed up. Now it's cluttered to the left. Here's an example: http://www.speedrun.com/Freedom_Planet/Shang_Mu_Academy
Gonna dump some new ones..

You will underestimate the amount of time it takes to reach a goal.

When learning a level, keep checking back on the WR for routing/timing. It'll make your practice sessions far more efficient.
I know how to get the coin next to your name, though what's the minimum amount to donate to be able to upload a custom icon next to your name? And how would you apply them?
Well, theres a trick in Dragon Valley that allows you to skip the boss, and in the Wii U version (which is outdated) it completely disregards the level in fullgame runs.
So if you're going to run Carol or Lilac fullgame using the boss skip, you will want to use the PC version.
