The HD Console and SD Console bee movie demos are different; the rules for SD console were incorrect. They've now been updated to the following:
Gameplay Requirements and Timing
Complete the demo for the Bee Movie Game.
HD Consoles:
Timing starts on pressing A to launch, and ends when the VIP message appears.
SD Consoles:
Timing starts as soon as the loading ends / the in-game street appears (with the instructions on playing the demo). The beginning cutscene and loading screen on a fresh attempt does not count for your time, as restarting the demo does not show the initial cutscene or loading screen. The timing ends when the "Congratulations" screen is available.
You must show the difficulty of the run before starting by navigating to options at the beginning of your run to show the difficulty settings. Thank you.
PC runs now require an FPS timer and a framerate cap of 30. Both of these can be provided by RTSS (Rivatuner). All previous runs are grandfathered in, but future runs will need the FPS displayed to be verified.
We should change the rules so that the FPS must be displayed for PC runs. This is easily done with RTSS. This run can be unintentionally made easier or harder based on FPS. If your run isn't a solid 30 or 60 frames, your character will actually run faster; locked to 42, you can save a ton of time. However, locking the frame rate to 42 also makes the platforming sections impossible. Variable framerates should be allowed, but even above that, we should make it a rule that the frame rate must be displayed. PC only, likely.
Could you add HD Easy difficulty records to the level leaderboard grid view thing?
Thank you 😁
I don't think there is a PS3 version, but I can load it on my PS3 with CFW, but I don't have a true backwards compatible one. Is that valid? Are all consoles valid for the same scores? Often HD and SD are seperate because different engines and load times / frame rates. The 360 version has much different menus than the PS2 version and probably many other differences, but I'll have to play more to see for sure. Is there a preferred difficulty? The rules don't specify, so if not then I'm going with Easy. Is PS2 OPL valid? (Faster load times). That's it for now.
I bought a copy for x360 and PS2, I was wondering if using OPL for the PS2 version would be considered acceptable. The different might be improved load times.
