hey I think I might have discovered a glitch that can be useful for speedrunning this game. btw this is on the PS3.

short story: I think you can make the alien disappear by using floor vent glitch. probably you have to press button to get out as soon as the alien grabs you. after that the alien doesn't come back or vanishes.

long story: I was playing normally first time this game, I was in the lab where you get betrayed by Waits. Before the whole section ejects I was going inside the vents on the floor to hide from the alien. when I opened a vent to get out the alien came and grabbed me at the same time I pressed a button prompt for getting out. next thing I know the alien disappears and it won't come back again.

I'm not sure about this but I hope might be useful if it can be done multiple times and in different areas. definitely needs some testing.

just for newcomers to speedrunning this game, it is a faster way starting missions inside the maps on land instead of starting from the ACC or helicopter then landing to drop zone.

peacenkin (perfect stealth, no kills). ClaytFace killed those Skulls. how did this get passed when the category says no kills. its not like you can't stun the Skulls. plus its the same run from any% S rank. wouldn't that be breaking category differences?

I'm not sure if using glitches should be a separate category but I found this video (all thanks to Reddit/metalgearsolid) of 100 clip and sound suppressor equipped rocket GROM. yes a rocket launcher with 100 clip rounds. only works on PC I think:

I submit IL few runs, Im checking to know what happened to them.

when should I start the time and end the time? is it when I drop from the chopper or as soon as the chopper scene appears?

can you carry any upgraded weapons, tools and support items for IL in any category? besides the ones mentioned in the rules such as Grey Fox & Raiden skin. for example using customized weapons and upgraded buddy equipment. or must I used the default equipment?

is there a way to record separate gameplay footage from the rest while streaming using OBS or other than OBS that does that?

I'm speed running a few games and been trying ways to find exploits in them like wall clipping but haven't found any yet. I tried going to corners of a door, I tried doing random animations and other weird stuff. does anyone know of a way to find exploits or are they just randomly found by speedrunners?

I noticed on some game pages for example Time Crisis there is a time record but no video file or link to see the run. I can't tell if a runner hasn't got to upload the run yet or a possible glitch with the links. is this common to have records but no video to show it?

I speedrun The Godfather game and did any%. I was thinking of adding categories for the run but I'm not sure if it can be seen as legit category since I'm the only speedrunner and moderator. do I need other speedrunners for the game to make a category or can I make up the categories on my own?

short story I tried adding a game to the series and I messed up somewhere. now I look up in the games list and I see there are two links of the same game 'The Godfather Don's Edition'. I clicked on both the links and they lead to the same page. how do I fix this?

I usually use YT to upload my runs. but at the moment I have a terrible upload internet and would like to compress the file. what websites are good or acceptable for uploading compressed speedrun files? or is compressed not accepted?

on the top game page it says

what does that mean? is it an error with the game page?
