@rewan I think that's a bit overboard... he was simply trying to make a server for speedrunning races... You can say that it's basically a #resource. For example, if someone uploaded a video explaining the strategy to 1.7 speedrunning and made a forum to tell people... it's not exactly self-promoting even if he gains revenue from people watching his ads. Even if people have to pay for their server or whatever perks are in it, it's the player's choice.
However, idk if anyone ever responded, but those runs will not be counted towards the actual src leaderboard

no, server op is required to record the entire thing. However, problem solved! Use an external camera to record the run.
U can't use it because that's not survival minecraft. If im not mistaken u need to open cheats to do it (which is not allowed) and secondly it's a command.
@rewan basically fast fog is such a huge advantage. Only fancy fog makes it vanilla-like, but some PCs cant handle it bc of graphics cards and whatnot
mob spawning is just ONE of the many reasons. One of the others is the fog. Unlike vanilla, Optifine provides a HUGE advantage to fog distance especially in the nether
Use all 3, they benefit each in different ways and do not affect the vanilla game mechanics!

be specific! As Dimeax above just mentioned, it is allowed for pre 1.9, BUT STRICTLY, for pre 1.9 only. 1.9+ u may not use it. The only one u are allowed to use is the one listed in the resource tab, I think created by Geosquare. Other than that, no other one can be used
