Because cheat codes are almost always banned in speedrunning. They are typically only allowed in specific categories allowing cheat codes to be used. As a community we have banned the use of cheat codes for all of the games in the LEGO series.

Timing changed from ending when you press Finish Story, Batcave, or Arkham Asylum to ending when you lose control of your character.

The time taken off for the previously submitted runs is outlined below:

Story mode: Xbox 360: 15s (end on 2-5), 12s (end on 3-5), 14s (end on 5-5), 16s (end on 6-5) PC: 17s (end on 2-5), 13s (end on 3-5 or 6-5) Wii: 14s (end on 3-5) PS2: 16s (end on 3-5) Xbox One: 17s (end on 3-5), 14s (end on 6-5)

Free Play: All consoles: 7s (end on any level)

Try changing your V-sync setting. If it's off, turn it on. If it's on, turn it off. That's a very common problem people have had with this game.

I always use a controller. It helps give you more directional control than a keyboard can. I don't know if there are any differences in terms of easier setups.

If I remember correctly, it's real time. I think it would be pretty cool if an IGT column was added. The sum of the race times would be the IGT.

SSD might be faster. I timed it based off of what I had, which was not SSD.

I've been told it's about 30 seconds faster with its loads.

Emulator runs are valid for world record for any misc. categories and individual level runs.

The GC has an exclusive trick in it that saves about 25-30 seconds but the loads make it slower. Xbox One is the fastest version, followed by X360 and PC, then GC, then PS2. I'm not sure how the other versions compare. Emulator is just about the same as the GC. If fast loads are applied to emulator, then it would be close to if not faster than the Xbox versions. However, fast loads on emulator are banned.
