United KingdomI just had this soft-lock happen to me on the basement stairs i managed to hit action on the stairs before the camera transition or as it was happening , is this common knowledge?
i was playing on the biohazard 2 NTSC-J PSN version.
Put these into your gameshark/action replay cheat cartridge to defeat the pointless anti-region check:

Execute check and pass check (alt code):

Remember to start game WITH cheat codes and you should get past that pesky anti region screen.
I personally have to use skip check with master code and it works.
I made this thread as most patcher programs (where you patch a backup ISO) i found were so old they don't work on modern version of windows.
my tech issues with biohazard 2 sourcenext are back after patching and im just wondering do i need to install the game every time i want to speed run it because it only seems to work as intended on a fresh install otherwise the sound cuts out or the game crashes on the final FMV , i really don't know why this version is recommended at all lol im very tempted to just go back to the PS1/gamecube versions of the game.
