California, USAThe only difference between switch and switch lite is that the switch lite cannot connect to the tv, other than that they are basically the same thing. I do not know if you can connect controllers like pro controllers. And it would be difficult to record because it cannot be connected to a tv. But it is mostly just preference. If you are fine recording when in handheld then get one but if you do not want to then get a normal switch.
I don't really see a point in having a category that uses this cheat. And the chance of it getting approved is probably very low. That being said you can still request it.
No you do not, a lot of people live stream speedruns because they find it as easier, but you can record it and then upload the run
I personally use joy-cons on a TV when playing odyssey because it is easier for me to do things like upwards and downwards cap throws. But for the most part its just preference. If you like playing in hand held than do that, but remember for runs you have to record them in some way. But if you like using a pro controller more than do that. But I'm not sure if the switch lite will let you use anything other than the attached joy-cons

No, you dont need anything for it, just choose 150 line marathon and when you get to 40 lines done you can cut the time
For minimum captures 1 player is nut jump used? I was looking at the WR so I could try and follow it and they don't do nut jump. I was just wondering so I would know if I would need to learn it
