OK so i just got livesplits today to start timing and i knew nothing so i watched a tutorial and eventually got myself a split and everything. All i need help for now is how do i make it so it automatically skips the split. Please someone help me i know its probably easy.

What do you mean by automatically skips the split? Can you elaborate on that?

i mean by for example when i start the run/ press enter it starts the 2.73 countdown and when i finish a level it sets the time and moves on to the next one

I'm probably not much help because I don't play on emulator. There's some scripting that can be done that can communicate with an emulator to automatically split. Someone else on here might have better information for you. It's something I've never really investigated as it's something I'll never use.

However, I think virtually everyone, including emulator users, just manually split. Once you figure it out, it's pretty easy to do it accurately, especially since this game operates on framerules, so you only have to be accurate to a third of a second. If you don't know about framerules, this video might be worth watching. It's old, but still really good.

I'd just map the "split" command to something you can easily press, then split every time you finish a level - rather than using an automatic splitter. Good Luck

i ran in to a problem where i have to click on my livesplits to split and click back on my emulator to continue playing

You need to enable global hotkeys in settings.

this is my last question hopefully.

everything is now working fine and i did a test so all my times where like 0.5 and i wanted to reset it but when i removed the times it didnt make new ones when i did another run it just showed a dash (-) so i made every time like 7 minutes but same thing happened when i did the run it just turned into a dash ( - ).

can someone tell me how to reset my times or prevent the dash

Maybe you didn't put a comparison time?? I still can't understand what are you saying, Nevertheless yeah that will probably work.

Are you sure you set times for every split before resetting?
