I'm writing a guide for a game, and I find it silly that there is no way to preview the guide before I post it. I want to preview it because I'm using BBcode so I want to see how it'll turn out beforehand. Why is this not a feature? Also, if people use some other website to test out the BBcode first, if you could link me that, it would be appreciated.
I asked for this a while a go to in the feedback thread I messed up a guide once the formatting wasn't looking like I wanted it too :( so I had to quickly fix it.
Reminder that this site doesn't support BBCode anymore but Markdown instead (as of November 2017, cf. here )
partially It's still broken in some ways (lol try to link anything with a special character?) and others just outright still use bbcode like small/big & quote. jk jk ' links work?
[section=This is BBcode?] [big]But I'd still enjoy a preview for whatever styling this site uses[/big] The way I've been doing it is to hijack an old comment on mine on a locked thread and edit it, that way no one knows about my editing and i am free to do it however much i want. But this is primitive. A preview button would be lovely.
Also HowDenKing, i dont think links work with apostrophes or question marks in them (jk jk links work)
@diggitydingdong which is exactly what I've been saying with "It's still broken". it's been that way ever since the change and hasn't been adressed since.
(I'm also missing the feature to exclude characters from the markdown)
