I now play on ePSXe, but even on my console as a kid this worked. Slamming all the shoulder buttons (R1, R2, L1, L2) causes the player to bail. done correctly, this results in the character being teleported up to the top of whatever they're next to.

In the camp woodward level this can be used to easily get on top of the cabins, to grind the wires between the cabins.

On "Titanic" you can use this to get atop the stone pillars, so you can easily grind the sign in the hardcore challenges.

In Lot 8, you can use this to get on top of the tower to easily manual it.

I personally think this ought to be allowed. In my experience, it is an easy, accessible trick that anyone can pull off. It has a touch of RNG (sometimes it doesn't work, or you have an "awkward landing" after teleporting) but it's fun to do.

I can upload a video showing off some of these "bail clips" if needed.

Honestly can't see why this wouldn't be allowed, in fact I use this on the first comp level to teleport to the end section of the map from the start.
