Skipping fights was pretty valuable in the late game. This is still improvable whenever I feel like doing that, I mean I died to the first Sleepy Head for goodness' sake (and a later Icy Head fight). Sleepy Head 4, though, was extremely lucky and that's the expected problem fight.
