Sorry man. None of these options are of any interest to the moderation team to be added. This is final.
I was referring to attempts at low score runs without undos. The moderation team is not interested in making a category for an undo filled run to achieve 0 score, sorry.
Not sure if you mean dying with the lowest score or dying in the quickest time. The lowest known death score is 8 by a well known community member named jozi1123. Theoretically, you can achieve a lower score, but it is obviously very luck dependent. A speedrun to die as quick as possible, on the other hand, is a different run entirely and not one that the moderation team is looking to implement currently.
Sorry again to the runners asking for lower tile runs. I responded to this thread previously, but runs for tiles below 2048 used to be submitted and the previous moderators before me made the decision to remove those run attempts. This decision will not be looking to be changed.
Hello, sorry for the late reply. Not sure what specifically you mean by fails, as in you die but still complete the tile? Otherwise, you must reach the tile you are submitting a run for to consider it a completed run.
Thank you for the suggestion. However, we will continue to use the accepted websites as the only verifiable sites to submit speedruns for the game.
Спасибо за предложение. Тем не менее, мы продолжим использовать принятые веб-сайты как единственные поддающиеся проверке сайты, на которых можно отправлять ускоренные прохождения игры.
Practice playing with two hands on WASD and arrow keys consistently would be my overall tip to go faster. For specific help, you can join the discord and ask our community how to improve.
A quick update to 2048 enjoyers:
2048 Verse is now officially live on https://2048verse.com/ and is again an acceptable site for speedruns to be verified on. Feel free to join the Discord for 2048 Runs in our pinned forum if you have any questions.
@KilleDragon Thank you for the insightful reply, I completely agree with your sentiment. Some newbie entering the community and claiming to have a run that's gotten a world record when players have been grinding it for years is worthy of doubt at best.
Also, it's been literally 3 days since you submitted a run, and it is clearly a sped up run and doesn't include the built in timer that is on that website. Chill out.
I am one man and I have a full time job sorry I get around to these like once a month
The current link for verse is https://2048verse.jennafilean.repl.co/ and is subject to change.
I cannot view the Facebook video regardless. You can make a new account with a different email and try uploading onto Youtube that way.
Hello speedrunners of 2048:
As you may know, the community created website, 2048 League, has been down for some time now. The primary developer of the website has not been heard from in quite a while. However, our community has worked toward building a new site with many of the similar features. Aptly titled 2048 Verse, many similar components from League are being implemented and the website is a work in progress. Additionally, 2048 Verse WILL be a verifiable website on which to speedrun.
If you have any questions, please feel free to join our Discord for 2048 Runs, which is pinned at the top of this forum.
The moderators are not interested in making a category for that, sorry.
No. You are able to hold down multiple keys at once and the keyboard will read all inputs. You can "spam" arrow keys and the WASD keys in both NKRO and non-NKRO runs, but to achieve at least the 2048 tile, you need some semblance of skill and ability to merge your tiles together; you can't just "spam" your way to the 2048 tile.
Repeated keyboard speedruns can only be done with certain keyboards that are able to handle multiple inputs at once if you hold down multiple keys. The runs are absolutely legitimate and were made their own category for a reason.
This page is only meant for the official version of 2048 on the allowed websites. The moderators have no interest in expanding categories to accept runs from other sites at this time.
Do I know you, tuff_lover? This run is very legitimate and I have been working at lowering the keyboard times for months. Not sure who you are.
