Retimed from your submission because the timer should stop as soon as Fury's death animation is finished so it's a 2:19:44(.9 but we don't really need to care about milliseconds yet) instead of the proposed 2h19m57s.

I did some digging into the Nanite Fury question and it seems like upon beating the game before you unlock him for use in new game. So I'm unsure if you doing prior runs (judging by the 4 in the timer) caused it or maybe it is the ROM itself but regardless it's fine because he wasn't used.

I decided to make a much needed revamp of my leaderboard (https://www.speedrun.com/marvel_ultimate_alliance_2 link in case that helps?) and after doing such; I cannot find any of the previous runs submitted.

I've tried researching fixes where I check off variables as default and whatnot but nothing seems to be working. Any assistance will be appreciated, I'm not even sure how to pull up prior runs due to the category changes now. Thank you.

Alright, apologies for getting back to this one so late, 1 doesn't seem practical but it is neat to mess around with. If you could store 2 fusions, before that point it could be something to potentially do a big sequence break but I'd have to dive deeper into that.

2 I could only replicate once out of the 8 times I attempted it. The positioning seems very precise but if you can nail it consistently I'd love to see it in a run.

3 I wasn't able to replicate the described here at all unfortunately

4 Yes , exactly this anyone new lol

5 Same as before, I'm starting to think I might just suck at Storm clips or I have to be slightly elevated because I can't get any momentum on it and get stuck on the wall

6 CONFIRMED A GREAT SKIP, this definitely saves in the area of 20-30s. In my record video it takes me 1 minute, 7 seconds from when I gain control after the molten elevator to triggering the other cutscene. Time taken to perform the fusion, swap characters and whatnot is the reason it's not as big a time save as thought but this is a great find. Will add a video copy to the Discord and forum here very shortly. Excellent find MoonKnightx53

8 I messed around with trying to get this to work and couldn't find anything useful either

9 ANOTHER GOOD ONE due to the swapping and fusion, I'd wager this saves 10-15 seconds, video will be up shortly

10 this is an unfortunate one, I wanted this to work but no matter what you start off with 0 fusions here unless you alter your build but I'd argue what I run is the most effective throughout. So you HAVE to metre build and this takes lots of time to do. If you started with it then absolutely this would save time. In my record video it takes me 2 minutes, 10 seconds ~ to get from the start to the boss fights here. Metre building and doing the skip takes about 2:50-3:00 minimum.

Responded on the YouTube comment but I'll repost here for easier discoverability for newer runners -- This would be decent for New Game runs but for NG+ runs, the IGT would stack with previous runs so it would have to be RTA to make sense. Due to it being that way, it's easier to just have a blanket timing over all the categories. In an ideal world, we'd have a load remover but I nor anyone(to the best of my knowledge) in the community are able to create one. Good idea though

To add to a further point about the different paths, most collectibles do overlap but with the Rocket or Groot choice to sell, there is one different collectible tied to each pick. I also don't know if it would be possible to get everything given the funds allotted to you when you free roam Knowhere.

So I think the choice here is either as close to 100% as a player can get (so like an 87% or whatever on the leaderboard) or it could turn into a full playthrough then half of another or something like that.

Yeah I was really excited because it happened by accident in video one, i was more so routing out the fastest movement when it hit me to do backwards dash/punches but i'll need to see other areas and if there's anything else applicable.

They coded it pretty darn well in that regard throughout most of the game and it's annoying to test due to the lack of an encounter select or sub-chapter select but here's to hoping this is the foot in the door for cool skips.

Hey this could very well be nothing because I couldn't find a use as it caused the AI pathing to break/door not open to proceed but I was able to consistently get out of bounds using the method shown in both videos. Skim ahead a bit to get to the part that matters but I included the previous part as I thought it might show how it happened/help give answers but then after restarting my console and trying 6 hours later I replicated it no problems. 2 videos included.

I changed the timing to be on the cutscene being skipped instead of seeing Dr Doom's statue head because i felt it was a cleaner way to time it. Due to it being so miniscule I did not change or alter any previous runs. The time difference is .5-1 second max so it's not a huge deal

Hey i'd like to request the ability to moderate the Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2 leaderboards ( https://www.speedrun.com/marvel_ultimate_alliance_2 ). I received a message from the previous mod stating that he was unable to continue moderating so i'd like to fill the gap. The game is currently without a moderator so I suppose i should ask that it be a super-mod position. Thank you.
