Yes, only analogue remapping for door skating is allowed. I don't know why though, I guess just to try and keep it as level a playing field as possible.

I'd seen some people running with non standard remappings when I first started and figured I'd try out some myself to help with mashing start on PS4 controller, and also to be able to close the inventory in one press instead of two. I think it was Pessimism that confirmed it wasn't allowed when I asked for confirmation before my first submission.

It's a pain but you'll probably get used to it surprisingly quickly. I guess maybe if you have a disability that makes controller use difficult that's a different thing. Would be interesting to see if there's any leeway there in that case.

Hey GamesRock, sorry for the delay.

I tend to not run games in windowed mode so I probably never thought to try that. I'll give it a go later and see how things go. Thanks!

Hey Eleval!

Thanks for this, I just heard about it from Pessimism on his stream.

Maybe I'm missing something but it seems like F5 isn't working in game, but the config file was created.

I downloaded the zip file and put both files in the same folder as the game .exe. Am I missing something else? Should the GUI open once the game has booted to the main menu or does it need to actually be in game?

I know the json file needs me to do some other stuff for it to work but I'm not too worried about that at the moment., for now I just want to try the new doorskip.

It's 3:30am here at the moment so I'll take a proper look tomorrow. I haven't ran REmake in a while but I remember having an issue before where the framerate cap would mess up if I alt tabbed out, and I think I tried using SpecialK at some point so perhaps there's a conflict there.

I appreciate your work on this and apologies if I've missed something simple in my tired state! :D

EDIT: So with a brief test, looks like I had to use Special K to fully uncap the game otherwise MSI Afterburner shows it running at 60fps instead of 120, regardless of setting the game to run at Variable/ 120. Not using SpecialK also sometimes gives me some issues with resetting Livesplit and having Gamepad Viewer working.

So maybe there's a conflict between the dlls? I'm not educated enough to know but I think it should be ok. Your dll is dinput, and Kaldaien's is d3d9 so I don't think there should be an issue there?

EDIT 2: So I disabled SpecialK, fixed the fps cap, and also got Gamepad Viewer to keep recognising inputs once the focus is on the game window by changing to a different controller from DualShock4. Still can't get your GUI to open in game with F5. I enabled doorskip in your config file and it seems to be working fine.
