It is not completely wrong to say that some runs are played on a snes classic pal, because there is a cosmetic difference between pal and ntsc version and the installed games are different. So if you ask an european snes classic runner on what console he played, it is snes classic pal. But all snes classics run at 60hz, and on all regions the game contra 3 is installed, and not probotector. So it makes no difference. But I understand your point for Europeans with probotector on original snes pal hardware. It is too niche for me to make a separate cat for it, but I would agree to make all snes classic runs "usa-ntsc", so super probotector runners can at least filter to compare themselves with other super probotector players.

Thé problem is existing longer, but is only recently discovered when some top 3 runs were affected. We will further work on this file and adapt things if needed. For sure there are some runs on the boards that are emulatingt too fast, but for now we wont delete existing runs on thé boards. You don't need to framecount thé tunnel every submission, but be aware that changes in settings and hardware can affect things.

It's very inaccurate with lag simulation. It is much faster than original hardware. I don't think ac is forbidden yet or other category yet, but I think some discussions will happen when ac runner would take over the leaderboards.

From a first time runner:

To be at this event was great and my high expectation were even exceeded. The stream1/practice area was awesome, stream 2 area was charming cozy and arcade/coffee/icecream/popcorn area was really fun.

Everyone was nice and friendly. People at the reception desk were great and made me feel welcome from the start, their enthusiasm was very contagious. Tech people guided me through my first time ever without problems. Fellow runners were all great and helpful in the practice area.

The mix of games and runners was just awesome, I enjoyed that for both the runners and the games there was a cool mix between fame and hidden gems.

Big thumb up to the organization, this event is in really good hands. Even while this event is already great, they are noticeable improving it event after event.

Just some suggestions:

• Free coffee and tea 24/7
• Day tickets with day prices, current prices are way too expensive for people who can only stay for 1-2 days.
• Try to work something out for the adds, these were really annoying as they often came on key moments in runs.
• The intermission videos were fun, but I had the feeling that there were not enough of them. Maybe expand this by some just for fun blindfold attempts from runners on their games. Or an intermission tournament where runners compete for the highscore on a short game with 1 attempt right after their run.

Explained: In Contra III, defeating a boss or losing all of your lives cause a screen fadeout transition. During this transition the game checks to see whether or not your character is alive. If you are alive you are advanced to the next level. If you are not, you are taken to the game over screen. The programming assumes that the only way to be alive during a screen fadeout transition is to have defeated a boss.

The switch birthday version is not in the current list of allowed systems. It's up to the mods or they include it to the list.
