Does it have a high priority in the task manager?
Are the game keys overriding your livesplit keys? (do you have your split key on a common game key)

No you cannot use the speedrun helper. Seems like the fps drops are skipping the trigger, lower your game settings and try a lower resolution, see if you can get your fps to atleast 30+ constantly.
Seeing it's a game bug, you need to reset. If it happens all the time, reinstall the game.

Split at begin of run in editor, stop at end of run in editor -> final time with loads
Remove the following loading screens with a proper frame perfect movie editor software (could crack Sony Vegas 13, google programs):
- After keyboard to prison loading screen
- Begin of sewer
- Begin of male ward
- Just after sprinklers, before courtyard
- Middle of courtyard
- End of female ward
- Begin lab
.. Then just remove the loading segments you just splitted in the editor, drag the gameplay parts to eachother, look at final time and that's your time w/o loads
.. Or go easy and count up the times of the just splitted loading screens and remove that of the final time
I mean ofcourse you can for the NG+ category. But that's a differen story and rules then

A trick you need to do atleast a dozen times to get consistent with it, if you run 720p, I line myself up with the window frame, the middle part, a little to the right, then put my camera crosshair to a specific position (check my run) and then the trick is to jump as late as possible. If you jump too early you'll fall off or get into the gapping phase anyway, you want to jump beyond the corner of the wall.
I learned the trick from andy's cues.

Since the category/console is PC everything that the PC offers in terms of input is allowed, so yes, this would be allowed.

Interesting, not worth it though, I'm sure. I timed Andy's run and this strategy, and this might (really well executed) save like 0.5 seconds. Nice find!
There is an exploit in the game we use, its called wallriding, you perform it by 'shrinking your hitbox'. You shrink your hitbox by vaulting/opening doors + many other strange ways. For this trick you're going to use the table, vault over it, and hug the wall you are going to clip through (just watch a run and you'll see what I mean). Now your hitbox is shrinked to medium size (we have small (normally by doing door wallrides), medium (vaulting usually) and normal (the one you have normally). To check if your hitbox is actually shrinked, face the wall, release any inputs and jump, now, to actually clip to the basement, you'll have to 'de-load' the level. You do this by doing this 'jump' (we did earlier to check) in the corner of that wall, next to the pillar. Look down, press jump, hold jump and right after pressing jump hold W, it should deload and clip through. If you do it wrong the level loads back in and you get stuck inside the wall, you will have to head out and do the whole process again. If you do it right the black screen should last for a little bit, and clip you right in the room or on top of it.
Also, dont press crouch while in a shrinked hitbox phase. It will make you unable to jump and you'll have to start over again.

Yes, crouchclipping brought the game back for a few weeks, then it started being dead again. If you really want to keep CC and resolution toggling; be my guest. But please guys; think! Outside programs, changing Engine Settings, it's all ridiculous and you know it just fine (do you?)
