Im new to Speedrunning and this site in general and I was wondering if you're still allowed to record your tv screen with your phone if you don't have access to capture cards? Or should I just wait until I can afford to get a capture card? I have an old busted phone I could use to time my runs if that's the biggest issue Thank you!

Hiya! My name is ShakedownDreams and I hope to get into doing speedruns! I've always found the scene quite interesting, and even though I'm not all super competitive I do think this could be a fun thing to do!

I'm not sure how to start or what would be the best to start /with/ but Im hoping to do good and make friends here!

I'm super interested in nintendo games myself, though there are a few other games I'm interested in trying to run, such as Bloons TD 6 and maybe Overwatch cause that looks like a goofy category I could get into
