After hard work and dedication they finally accepted my run which I'm super excited about. I mainly want to talk about the 15th anniversary edition. Mine came in the mail today and it's a bit different than the 20th port. There's a speed boost option you can turn on and off so obviously that's a no no when it comes to this port when enabling it because Lester runs unbelievably fast. Also I've noticed TimmyAkmed's run he glitches through a wall after escaping with buddy. It seems fine until he exits to the games main menu and presses continue to hit the next check point. He does that because it seems he can only glitch through the wall by doing a crouch animation that requires him not to use his gun. So basically from what I've seen he doesn't pick up his gun, glitches through the wall quits to the games main menu and continues during the next checkpoint so he's able to have his gun on him that he never picked up to begin with. If Timmy wants to explain this from his point of view I'd like to hear his side. From what I see right now he's using a unlocked checkpoint that already starts with the gun he never picked up.
I get the whole 100% thing but is there really any point of looking out the window? I know we see all other cutscenes but technically we skip the whole laboratory scene because our timer starts as soon as the desk appears in the water and Lester is active for us to control. I've always felt there should be a Any% and a Any% Glitchless category instead. Meaning no zips, skips, glitches etc. I guess I look out that window and question it everytime lol.
I've finally decided to make a Jurassic Park Speedrun Community Discord. It's for all runners in the series. Once you join you'll see that every game that's listed on here will be in the discord as well as a Visitor Center to chill at for general talk. I'm hoping some of these games make it into a GDQ event soon. I know I'll be submitting a handful so I'll continue to grind and work on my runs as well. Hope to see you guys in here! https://discord.gg/gYKz9aa

After talking with other runners including BoosterShane I think this is the best way to go so I'll be updating the rules. The timer now starts as soon as you press "START" on the main menu. That adds an additional 3 seconds to the runs with cutscene loading time skips. Thanks for giving your feedback on here guys :)

Also it makes Aviary button spam much easier for the player to jump off the Pterodactyl at this point.
Thanks for the reply. I just see most Retro games starting the timer on the "START" screen and I guess the fact that it gives you one map load description without being timed like the other stages that are included in the run. Also I hope to see you running this game again. Your playthrough is what got me into speedrunning this game :)
Hey guys. It's been on my mind lately seeing most Retro Games including JP have most of their timers start on the "START" screen on the main menu. I'm thinking it may be best to do it for this game and Rampage Edition as well. I believe it would only add an additional 3 seconds to the run if we all agree on it which I'll do since I'm a moderator now. Let me know your guys' thoughts. :)

I'm thinking it may be best to do it for JP1 and Rampage Edition as well. If you think about it, starting on the map screen seems a bit off because you are active to move the controls and pick whatever map you'd like depending on your route which sometimes happens during the run itself when the timer is on. For events like GDQ, which I'm trying hard to get these games in at the next event, it seems a bit smoother to have the timer start at menu like most games. Let me know your guys' thoughts. :)
I think we all just need to sit down and play some RE Sega Saturn Kappa
