How viable do you think a time under 7 minutes would be?
Interesting, I'll look through some levels and see whether there's a use for it
I think if you could create a wall using your sonic screwdriver fuel and then clip through the floor that would be very big
congrats on the first sub 8 minute run!
I was 5 years old 10 years ago as well lol
I'll try and set up a VM sometime to see whether it works or not
Thanks for saying that :D, I first played this game about 10 years ago back when it was originally hosted on the CBBC website, and it's honestly so amazing how far the game has come since starting to speedrun it (I initially discovered clipping through ceilings back when this game was on the CBBC website but it's only recently that cilpping through walls was discovered)
Kinda unfortunately I can't really play the game now cos I use Linux and the game doesn't run on the Flashpoint Linux version but I'm sure that'll be fixed sometime
Personally I don't have Discord but feel free to set one up yourself and send me an invite so that I can set it as the game discord
What I think causes the glitch jumps is you clip through the floor, then you stand on the part of the ceiling that's on the floor then jump (if you get what I mean)
I've got that a couple of times, doesn't seem to be that useful though The kinda unhelpful thing is that you can't see the Skullion's feet which means that you can't really tell when you've got the glitch jump (cos in the other chapters the other characters have visible feet which gives a way to tell whether you're gonna get a glitch jump or not)
I have the feeling that if any of the keys in Focus 7 could be skipped it would be the last one because I think you could somehow get a glitch jump on the platform that the TARDIS is on and then somehow make it to the Tardis
Also the bonus level can be done using 1 key but it might be able to be done in no keys
This is a very weird glitch that I've discovered
Apparently you can press escape to exit a level immediately, even if you're dying, and if you exit a level while dying then quickly visit another chapter's level selection screen before you respawn, the game will respawn you fine, but then when you leave, all of the chapter level selection screens look like the chapter level selection screen that's relevant to the level you left mid-way through a death sequence but it works fine (so for example if I did this glitch with Basic Training, then all the chapter level selection screens would look like Basic Training but you would be able to load all of the levels).
This means that I can access Agility 11-15 and Focus 11-15 which don't normally exist and therefore very buggy. All these levels seem to be a copy of the final level but the colours of all the doors rapidly change and there's no collision on any walls at all (and for Agility, there are some red lines with arrows as demonstrated in my screenshot, I assume these refrence the fish in the level)
Also, when you die three times, you get the usual helpful message pop up, but it says "Text Missing"
The thing with Focus 8 is that you can actually reach the star gate with only one key but you can't get through it without the star key
This is an example of what I mean
