United StatesThe universe's giant clock is nearing Christmas and I don't have much on my presents list other than the complete set of Pajama Sam. I was wondering if I could get some insightful suggestions from you guys.
What game do you see as worth buying? Like, what is worth buying for its price and the experience you get from it? It doesn't matter whether it's popular or obscure, I'll still look for it.

Remember how I said I don't -always- agree with other rules. I can see how some games are better off starting at later points. It could be a more comfortable point or better for splitting. I don't think I would mind timing based on those points.
I remember a thread talking about when and why the timer should start, and I wanted to make my input.
I've made a rule for myself that whenever you activate something you cannot back out of, that is when the timer starts. If you can't back out of something, I would imagine you have started and can't stop. This means I don't -always- agree with timing based on when the character first moves or in-game time.
I'm not asking to change any game's rules, but here's some examples of what I would prefer:
Super Mario World - Starts on selecting "1 Player Game" Super Mario Bros. - Starts on selecting "1 Player Game" Spyro the Dragon - Starts on selecting save file Portal 2 - Starts on selecting level LEGO Star Wars: The Video Game - Starts on selecting "New Game"
A lot of popular speedrunning games already have a rule of this nature, so I couldn't make as long of a list as I was hoping to.
Nevermind! The leaderboard is back to normal. All is well, people.
Since yesterday, I noticed that the leaderboard theme of SpongeBob SquarePants: Battle for Bikini Bottom (GBA) changed. Its theme seems to have now gone in the path that another GBA title, Lilo & Stitch, once did. The background has been replaced with an irrelevant picture and the panels are the same color as the text. Either I don't understand the context or this is vandalism.
TL;DR - One of these themes is not like the other
I just wanted to congratulate everyone involved for these 500+ runs! I may not even run this game, but it interests me how all these people got together and learned glitches, skips and strategies to become the fastest players on the Net. I can't wait to see SHiFT reach under an hour in the Any% category. Wishing you good luck!
@Buffet_Time Perhaps you should look at this to clear things up. It's a reference to an old episode of SpongeBob SquarePants. He used to be number one. We can do it again!
Out of the all the clever nicknames, I've never seen anyone do this before. It's time we take action. Post pictures here of "Smitty Werbenjagermanjen" reaching the top of the leaderboard to show dedication to this skeletal fish friend of ours.

I thought "Crockey" would have been an easy name to come up with since it was based off my "gaming" channel, Crackin' Crocodiles. It was all good at first, but then I started to feel I wasn't settled. I feel like I could have a better username that I could run with. Does anyone have suggestions?

I am having some drama with a game I ran. kobepilgrim and I were talking about this over on Talk, and he suggested I bring the situation to kirkq.

The one and only moderator even stickied the post. It doesn't upset me as much as it did then, but I still wondered why he would approve of such rude behavior. It was today that kobepilgrim told me why. "So the mod encouraged Pixql. Yeah, that's messed up," he said. "Especially considering that Pixql was banned for something that may even be unrelated, I think the fact that the moderator supported what happened in the Wubbzy thread should at least be mentioned to someone..." That's what lead me up to here. So what here needs to be done? Is it as simple as changing who's in charge of the game?
@kobepilgrim I had a problem like this. I uploaded a run for Wubbzy's Underwater Adventure some time ago, only for a user named Pixql to attempt to discourage me from improving. But still, it makes me wonder why the mod would approve of such rude behavior. Can I do anything about this?
