the TAS is 100% possible, but it takes a long time to do. I'm taking the BTT route for the TAS, so if anybody else is insane enough to make TAS segments that would be cool

@Thed3x7er500 also, i kind of found a way.

Using Pulover Macro, you have to move the screen by a few pixels, just to turn about 45 degrees, i believe it is 29 pixels required to turn to do about 90 degrees. Remember that results won't be the same every time, so it is a long process. so far i am at the part in the tutorial where you jump off the wall and spin, i will keep people updated on the progress i am making. I would have to say that the TAS might be fully finished in 5 months to a year

Maybe @EmK530 and @ThePokemonkey123 could work together to make a Robot 64 TAS creator, but as i said before, it would be terrible to code, and Pulover’s Macro Creator might be an easier way

Also I think @ThePokemonkey123, @EmK530, and @Whytte might be able to help the best (mostly Whytte as I remember him using Pulover’s macro in Robot 64 before)

Currently, I am working on some macros (Like a rmlaunch macro, which does rmlaunches pretty fast, and an infinite shift dive that shift dives as fast as possible) I currently do all my macros on Pulovers Macro Creator. I really want to create a TAS for this game. Right now I can do the movements like jumping, diving, spinning, etc. but the BIGGEST problem is the camera. Usually what I do with my macros is that i record my movements and Pulover puts it in the program. Except, moving the camera comes out weird. For example, if i recorded myself moving the camera 180 degrees, it would come out only turning the camera like 5 or 10 degrees (this isn’t the exact measurements, it’s more just like an example) . If somebody could help me with this it would be wonderful. Although, i have one theory that might work but only with a modzone. The modzone camera doesn’t really move smoothly, if you don’t know what i am talking about basically if you try to move your camera a tiny bit, it usually moves by intervals by 1 degree (or something like that) so, if i could figure out how much i need to turn my mouse, to turn the camera by 1 interval, i could probably make a TAS for this game.

Although, there is another option, but probably requires TONS of coding and work. Basically someone could use EmK’s slow motion mod, probably find a way to go foward and backwards a frame, and use savestates, and the end, it would make Tool Assisted Speedruns a lot easier to make. But of course i could imagine it would be awful to code

If anybody could help that would be awesome!

Also sorry if you can’t understand this, i tried my best to word it good

also, pause immediately after you click the spin button, i found this to be the reason why i wouldn't go to door at all.

some tips that work for me, is that i usually token cancel very early, and i move myself to the dot, this helps me with timing so i don't fall to the first floor.

Thread: Robot 64
AntarcticaCosmicStar3 years ago

This is taken from the @LegokingRblx so shoutouts to him

How to preform:

  1. Open a token purchase.
  2. Go on top of the tree.
  3. Spin and pause right after spinning.
  4. Go into snapshot mode and move your camera to the wall.
  5. Move your camera so it is on the top right of a dot on the wall. The dot is near the middle. Or you can move it so the door to New Neocity is right on the other side.
  6. Token Cancel then wait 1 second and unpause. You will fly in the air through the wall. Jump otherwise you will fall the first floor. A dive or ground pound after the jump also helps to get you through the wall.

Things that can happen and why:

  1. You get stuck under the observatory. - You unpaused to late or to early after the token cancel.
  2. You get stuck between floors. - You didn't move your camera high enough or you jumped to late.
  3. You don't have control over beebo. - You unpaused to late or to early after the token cancel.
  4. You fall to the first floor. - You didn't move your camera high enough or you jumped to late.

thanks for the tutorial, but i actually figured out how to do it a couple days ago, i realized i was token cancelling WAY too early. But your tutorial does explain how it works and is useful

ask whytte or just look at other runs

Thread: Robot 64
AntarcticaCosmicStar3 years ago

alright this is going to be an in depth tutorial for it.

First step, do a miniflip (steps 1-3)

  1. crouch and minimize

  2. unminimize and reminimize very quickly

  3. do the inputs for a backflip

  4. pause using keyboard

  5. release minimize

  6. minimize and unpause

  7. release minimize and pause very quickly

  8. repeat steps 6 and 7

if you have any questions just let me know!

@holdables if sage, comic, ssurt, and dero all worked together they would beat the game so fast
