Downgrading

You may downgrade your game to any previously released patch or version.

To downgrade, you can use the "Run" command on Windows. To do that press Win + R and paste the following command:

steam://open/console

Steam will open the console. To download a specific version of the game paste the desired command from below:

Release Patch (2025-02-14):

download_depot 2525380 2525381 8417311009618272345

Patch 1 (2025-04-18):

download_depot 2525380 2525381 1165426595934114300

Patch 2 (2025-08-14):

download_depot 2525380 2525381 5588484507940747526

Be aware that the download through the Steam console may take a long time. The console will give you a confirmation after the patch has been downloaded.

Note, that the downloaded patch / version of the game will be placed in:

Steam > steamapps > content > app_2525380 > depot_2525381

You can now either

  • replace the existing files in Steam > steamapps > common > Tomb Raider IV-VI Remastered or
  • move the existing files to a new folder in Steam > steamapps > common > Tomb Raider IV-VI Remastered (Patch X) (Recommended)

If you want to switch versions (considering you have moved your desired version next to the original IV-VI Remastered folder) you can simply rename the folder of the version you want to play to "Tomb Raider IV-VI Remastered" and rename the original folder something else (like Tomb Raider VI-VI Remastered OG).

Please be aware that you may not mix different versions. Always make sure to either replace every existing file (delete the original files and replace them with the version you downloaded) or keep the versions seperated with different folders.
