Save location

path\to\game\userdata\saves\xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Where "path\to\game" is the root directory of the game and "xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx" can be any number on your end. Extract the zip file in place to replace the contents in that folder.

Files

In this folder, there are several files, but the only files we care about are the following:

• For slot 1
  • global.sav
  • run.sav
• For slot 2
  • global-slot1.sav
  • run-slot1.sav
• For slot 3
  • global-slot2.sav
  • run-slot2.sav

There are other files with the suffixes "-backup", "-corrupt", etc which the game presumably used by the game as fail safes. But in most circumstances, only the above list files are relevant for us. The "global" and the "run" files are identical in structure except as you might be able to guess, the latter file contains info about the live run state and updates at the beginning of every new biome.
