Which version is most ''speedrunnable''?

I heard that 1 of the scenarios is more like a challenge mod and the other more of a conversion(overhaul) mod. Which would be the best to speedrun? I tried the beginning of both Claire and Leon Normal mode and Claire spawns without a gun so that may answer my question haha. Is anyone else planning on running these? I'm definitely up for it :)

this is a late response but as ive beaten both, there are 2 EXE files in the origin of species folders. one is labeled "HARD" that just means zombies are harder, do more damage and blah blah blah.

to answer your question tho, actually origin of species is considered a conversion mod. what you are thinking of is the Rebirth mod i think. but maybe not, although rebirth does include the "hard mode" that was called "nightmare mode" on the Dreamcast release. origin of species 1.7 is leons C scenario, combining both A and B and adding new monsters, guns, and more. also changes stuff up, adds item locations, all kinds. claire's is the 2.0 one and is the harder one for me. it too is her A and B scenarios combined, but also altered with new guns, monsters, and more. of the two, each have an "easy mode" and a "infinite ammo mode" as well as the normal origin of species mode. so three ways to play each new scenario. let me know what you have finished and if you ran them:)

if you beat all that, you should try the .exe from the origin of species mod that launched the more difficult mode. (same game, enemies are stronger, and do more damage)

Thank you for responding mate. Recently I have started running mods with leaderboards so its only a matter of time before I attempt this. It can't be harder than Lord of the Necropolis can it? Hopefully Komizo puts more ways to play in Lord like this that would be great :)
