I'm working on doing a no major glitches% speedrun, but I keep having the automatic timer that I set just stop after the intro segment.

I know I'm doing something wrong, whether its not setting up a split or something I just don't know what it is.

I would double check the autosplitter settings (Right click on Livesplit -> Edit Splits -> Settings) and make sure you have enough splits for each thing you want it to split on (plus one for the end split).

I changed the split count to the proper 20, but is there anything more I need to do?

(like name the splits by where they are in-game, or anything else like that)

Also, do I need to manually split? I'm just not very good with timing, so that would be hard to do.

If you have splits in the autosplitter turned on, then no, you do not need to manually split. Also what you name your splits is up to you. The autosplitter goes based off of cues in-game, not what the current split in your livesplit says.
