Hi, i'm running the game in linux and i'm launching the Livesplit by adding the "start livesplit/LiveSplit.exe" command in the portal.bat file. It works sometimes. Like, sometimes I open portal and it runs well but sometines I start it a hundred times and always crashes. The portal app works well, but the Livesplit dont.
I tried restarting steam, changing the proton version and restarting the pc. None is consistent.
Does anyone else has this problem? Or someone knows how to fix it? Thanks
Im not super well versed with linux but is it possible to run livesplit seperately from portal instead of putting them in the same .bat?
.bat is a Windows Shell file meaning you shouldn't be able to run it on Linux at all without programs. Same with .exe wouldn't work with Linux because it's a Windows Executable file.
Hi, it's me almost two years lates. Thanks for the replies. If someone has the same problem, the fix was not using the flatpak version of steam. Don't know why but caused me some problems. With the .deb version of steam it runs perfectly.

I solved it by running LiveSplit in the portal.bat file, which I run with Proton. When I ran LiveSplit seperately autosplit did not work, now it works.
The restriction amount of states allowed for the toggle command, and for aliases, have been lifted. You use an unrestricted amount of states which may be helpful for reducing the amount of binds required for viewsnaps.
