I did this speedrun live on Twitch using my actual Gamecube with a capture card and used a timer with splits for each individual level as well as one split for the entirety of the World Rally.

I also personally think it would be good to have a glitch less category for runs since it changes a lot about how someone can get their times on certain levels.
