Hey I just started speedrunning and I'm trying to do the up-control-B to reset saved data, but it's not working. Instead, a square pops up on the top of the screen that says (empty), and each time I press the combination it moves it across the top.

Any clue how to fix this?

When you say control are you pressing ctrl on your keyboard? This might be causing the emu to do some unrelated function. I’d advise against having ctrl mapped as your select button or any button for that matter.

You want to press the buttons you have mapped for “Up”, “B”, and “Select” all at once on either your keyboard or gamepad. If you do this on the title screen it will prompt you to clear save data.

Yup I just figured that out and went to correct myself here xD. I noticed the Ctrl started to do some weird save state stuff and now I can do the data reset + soft reset faster.
