I am extremely proud to have reclaimed the No World 5 World Record and improved it four times in the span of just two days! This rapid progress is due to the penguin route discovered by @BigCheese and I, using penguin from 3-1 to 8-1. This change honestly makes the category way more fun to play, and I am excited to see how this category evolves in the future.
Improvement possibilities:
~1.5 seconds (Bad Ice Bro overworld luck).
~1.4 seconds (6-1 execution mistakes).
~1.5 seconds (Can go for the risky Roadkill strategy near the end of 6-1).
~4.5 seconds in 6-3 from Itsy-Bitsyless (Last question switch skip).
~2.2 seconds in 6-Tower (Can go for the brown block cycle skip which I haven't hit once in practice yet lol).
~2 seconds in 6-6 (The run missed a fish freeze and can skip extra 2 wallkicks before secret exit pipe).
~2 seconds in 8-2 (Cleaner execution + RSG).
~1.1 seconds in 8-Airship (Riskier execution on parts such as the skips).
Small cleanup timesave potential in 1-4, 1-Castle, 2-Tower, 2-Castle boss, 3-1, 6-3, 8-Castle (all less than 1 second of timeloss).
However, I will note that this run has a lot of very difficult levels that went well, such as an almost perfect 1-1, really clean 1-Tower, great 2-3 and 2-4 execution, a really nice 3-Ghost House, and perfect 6-Tower level for the strategies I went for. Most notably, 6-5 which is extremely difficult went really well with the triple jump, in my opinion the hardest trick that I went for. Lastly, my 8-1 was very clean with good penguin movement.
Although the improvement potential still exists in this category, I am done playing it for the time being as there were no large mistakes in this run, the clean levels mostly made up for the timeloss and the biggest timesaves are from strategies that are extremely difficult to hit in a run.
