The world record has finally been reclaimed after a very long grind.
It started with making a human theory TAS, a process that would take nearly a month, where I found many minor timesaves and a few major ones such as 8-7 triple setup. After this, @BigCheese would take the World Record and I would begin my grind to reclaim it.
21:45 has been my goal since the human theory TAS, but I am happy to at least set an improvement to the world record, as I have to leave for 8 months to attend University starting early September. I am unsure if I will manage to get 21:45 in the time I have left, but my full focus will be put onto it until then.
As for this run itself, since it is a few seconds behind my goal it has quite a few mistakes.
World 1: ~+0.2s from suboptimal movement and ~+0.45s due to no goomba boost in 1-1
World 5: ~+0.45s from suboptimal movement, +0.5s from bad overworld piranha luck and ~+1s due to slow 5-4 execution.
World 8: ~+0.9s in 8-2 due to missed goomba boost and lackluster execution, +~0.4s in 8-7 from missing the second coaster triple jump, ~+0.8s in 8-Airship due to suboptimal movement throughout (primarily 3rd skip) and ~+0.6s in 8-Castle from playing safe.
Final time without these mistakes: ~21:42.786.
