Ran on Andriod on Dolphin emulator.
Former WR - 0:08:850
Nice run. The last run was good and sub-9 by a lot. Despite that, I still wanted to improve because I instinctively steered right at the final turn to avoid the concrete bricks. It wouldn't have hit even if I didn't steer, so I finished a bit wide, and it was rent-free in my head.
The key to getting consistent 8-second times, and good times in general faster, is to get a good landing off the 2nd ramp and get a tight turn, so the approach angle for the next two turns is also naturally tight while tapping the boost. This is necessary so that the turns aren't wide, and so it lasts till the end. Last year, my only 8-second run was the 8:85 because I was doing the 2nd turn wrong and it was reset heavy. The turns after that weren't tight enough either, even if I was tapping the boost, because of the approach angle.
Got an 8:85 tie, then an 8:83. I instinctively wanted an 8:82 after improving to the 8:83, because I was expecting it and wanted those good digits, and finally this run.
