I figured out a strat on the current SSG seed which can save 15 seconds or more. You go to the Nether as usual, then you come back and there is a stronghold chest nearby that will change its contents to include an Ender Pearl if you have a low render distance/haven't already loaded the chest.

This means you don't have to mine blocks and tower up the the Bastion, you can just throw your pearls up. This can save more than 15 seconds if your Nether loading time is fast.

Or you could go to the blacksmith and get 10 obsidian from the chest and build your portal there. It will save 20 seconds. The world record can already can be pushed down like 20 more seconds without any modifications done.

CubeFlipper I feel that streamers will be less likely to do this since resetting for blacksmith luck is boring to watch.

Nobody wants to do the blacksmith strats as blacksmiths are randomized and are waste of time and are not fun to watch.......but the render distance one is a good trick but doesnt work for mobile using the current strats

Going through dimensions / relogging for item advantage in chests in ssg isn't allowed.

It is a lot more likely to get one pearl in the stronghold chest then 10 obsidian in the blacksmith chest. But for the optimal time you should go for the blacksmith. "Edit" Oh it isn't aloud So you could kill enderman but that would just be RNG There is also a new end strat that saves almost 10 seconds.

I am a new speed runner just submitted my one today of 8:18 SSG on mobile and I think looting of blacksmith is waste bcz of randomized loot.. Just do the normal way..

Wait so quitting a run and using the same seed in a new world, hoping to get better loot from blacksmith is banned?? Or is it something else.

For SSG I have used the blacksmith strategy as mentioned by CubeFlipper. I’ve been running All Ores % and it’s really rare but really helpful if the odds line up (the odds from getting obsidian is 24 or so percent, and the average is 5-6, so the odds of it are pretty rare)
