I like the idea of speedrunning on 1.14. I really enjoyed doing it before 1.16, but it just went away as soon as 1.16 came. If they split the 2 versions into different categories, then players could run both and there would be more than one way of beating the game which, in my opinion would be more interesting.

I think splitting it for PC would be a good idea seeming that it's so much quiker since 1.16 (piglin trading). I understand if not though as it may be hard to maintain 2 similar boards.

Personally I think if we don't have a split after 1.16.100 or at the latest 1.17 not many new runners will be encouraged to try. Why would you want to compete against someone who could get 16 pearls from two trades when you can only get 8? I play console and I'd be very happy to see a split.
