How does the cherry poppers skip works without using

the replay function?

I couldn't find an explanation for it yet.

Basically it works in the same way, but you need a method to get onmission0 calls without using replays. The main way of doing this on console is to enter a cop car which is parked on top of a save icon, then try and trigger vigilante as the savewarp occurs, get out while holding R3 (or your side-mission button), release R3 when the phone rings, then use L1 (etc.) to hold the call as necessary
