Saving this one frame took around 5 hours of grinding. Today I got three more 11s 533ms times and more 11s 550ms times than I could count before finally saving the one frame to get this PB. That's also why I didn't have any reaction to completing this run: after 5 hours of failing to save the frame I assumed I failed again and got another 11s 533ms but it worked out.
Today I also found out you can buffer the second START press when the copyright info screen appears, which helped give more attempts into the character selection screen. This also let me change my grip such that I mashed dpad LEFT with my right hand thumb rather than using a piano grip like I was before. It's still absurdly difficult to do a fast Debbie selection but this helped me do it more consistently.
I'm done with this category. I never made a TAS so I don't know what the best possible time for this category is but this is the best I can do.
Played on RGB-modded NES console using EverDrive N8 Pro.
Mod Note: Start Time 3.167 (Frame 190), End Time: 14.683 (Frame 881), Frame Rate: 60, Time: 11.517. Total frames: 691
