I created a game with speedrunning in mind and I plan to have a competition for the world record. I was hoping that I would be able to manage the leaderboard through speedrun.com since this platform has all the tools necessary to manage fair submissions and mitigate cheaters. However I got my application denied because, "We are not accepting game requests from its developers." It doesn't say anything about that in the rules so I'm not 100% sure what it means. If I get a member of my community to apply for and manage it would that be allowed? Does this mean that if it someday does get approved I can't be a moderator? I'm happy to accept the rules I'm just fishing for clarification and none of the support ticket categories really seemed to fit my question.

The only tool the site has for this is rejecting runs. It doesn't auto retime or check the run for cheats for you, the game moderators will have to check.

I think that should be fine. It's just that games are supposed to be community-driven for the speedrunning community.

Having someone from your community request the game is totally fine and pretty much the standard workaround. They just need to make sure the game actually meets the request criteria (like having public runs/a community behind it already, reasonable popularity, etc.).
