I lost 3 seconds in Level 3 due to just playing it badly, but the puzzles for Levels 2 and 1 are fully manip'd using inputs based on audio cues. There is a 1-frame window for the Level 2 puzzle which sets up a 6-frame window to get this exact Level 1. There's also a similar frame window to get "the desirable" Level 3 but I missed that and accidentally got one that was a bit better (yay luck).
