MAKE BACKUPS OF YOUR OWN SAVEFILE IF YOU WANT TO KEEP IT!

LOADING DIFFERENT SAVES WILL DELETE YOURS!

Loading foreign savefiles on your computer doesn't normally work, but there is a workaround:

Make sure you have saved data on slot 1 on your own savefile

1. Find the location of your own savefile on your computer: Windows Key → type in “run” → type in “appdata” → Local → FF4 → [string of numbers]
2. MAKE A BACKUP of this savefile if you want to keep it for later, IT WILL GET DELETED IF YOU DON'T
3. Launch your game, click on "LOAD GAME"
4. Replace your old save with the one you downloaded
5. Load Save 1 in-game --> you load into the save you wanted
6. Quicksave

From here you can place it somewhere on your computer for ease of access. After you Quicksave your computer will now recognize the file as your own, and you can just directly copy it into your savefile folder while you have the launcher up, to load it.
