What happens if I submit a run with a shortcut that Crazyblox fixes? Will a mod remove it from the list? Thanks by the way.
if the shortcut gets removed, the run is no longer valid (im pretty sure) so it will be removed
I thought the same, but then I saw the top 1 of Lost Woods (which uses a shortcut at the beginning that was removed) and it's been there for 8 months.
It's not, before the wall was much lower and you could jump, now it's much higher and you can't. Anyway, thanks for answering my question :)
As the runner in question, I can say that the shortcut is still possible in the current patch of FE2. The tunnel shortcut (which I presume to be the one mentioned in this thread) has an invisible barrier near the top of the sphere (most likely to "prevent" the shortcut from being possible). However, the shortcut can still be performed to the left and right of this barrier with a little wiggle room. Many runs already use this shortcut, but in the current record it is done while space is held the entire time. This is much harder than just walking up the edge and doing the headhitter like normal, but it can save time if you perform it well enough (because you slow down while walking up and down slopes). The actual setup for this shortcut is more or less the same in the video: ideally you want to land on the very corner of the tunnel piece (and as low as possible) to help maintain momentum into the headhitter, but this method is way less consistent compared to just timing the jump into the headhitter, and will usually not be any faster unless there is very little error in the execution of the shortcut. I would recommend first learning the shortcut using the other way I described. With the Practice Mode update in the works, the leaderboards have been updated to display all the permanent maps in maingame (sorry it took 3 years). Do note that most of these maps are CM additions, meaning that they are permanent but can be removed at any time upon the map creator's request.
