Breach charges are used to maintain Breacher's damage buff from getting a kill to 1 shot several enemies at once. Going left first thing in the basement is deliberate despite the 1-2 second extra backtrack time. Each basement door has a proximity trigger to spawn a junkie (pistol) on the opposite end. Making sure both doors are crossed upon starting the basement eliminates a backtrack to find an enemy in an already cleared section.
