This upgrade patch allows you to run Commander Keen 5 using version 1.4GT, which is useful for glitchless runs due to a fixed map error in Defense Tunnel Sorra (see KeenWiki article for details). It is distinguishable by a "BROUGHT TO YOU BY GOODTIMES SOFTWARE!" at the bottom of the initialization screen.

To upgrade: extract the files somewhere, then run the batch file. After upgrading, the extracted files can be deleted.

• The patcher will ask you for the current location of Keen5 files: you can copy-paste the location in the box without needing to navigate through the folder selection dialog.
• The patcher also assumes the executable is called KEEN5E.EXE, which may be incorrect depending on where your game comes from: simply rename the file beforehand. The batch file renames the file to KEEN5.EXE either way (which you can also freely rename afterwards).
• This patch is irreversible, so backup your original Keen5 files if you still want v1.4 available.
