Is it allowed to make a run with a custom setup of a stock car? (Non mod/download-stuff based setup, stock based setup) Like edit fuel volume change some parts and change gearbox etc. Neacuse technically its still a stock car but..
As far as the rules read so long as it is a base game car it is fine, so I assume setup changes are ok; however, we will need a mod to clarify this. I haven't been able to get the garage worked out so I haven't bothered.
For scenarios where you are given a car you should keep stock however.
It would be nice if a mod could clarify this, considering how much variety is possible for running Time Trials with custom setups even without the use of any game mods.
Should it be so that if you do a run with a custom setup of a vehicle you simply disclose in the video what changes have been made so that the run may be attempted by another person if they choose to do so? If part changes are allowed, should other tuning changes(if somehow altered from original) also be represented in the video itself or perhaps shown with a screenshot of what you've done that's linked to in the video's description?
It does raise a lot of questions on how runs for Time Trials should be submitted, since if only BeamNG original vehicle configs are allowed, someone could potentially make their own mod-less configuration that's otherwise visually identical to the original, but has had improvements made with other parts/tuning.
Well base game cars but the cars can be tuned in the base game withlut adding anything. And some tuning may be solely to adapt to a certsin driving style. For example kimi räikönnen and michael schumacher prefer oversteer and lewis hamilton prefers understeer. And if you buy a audi r8, make the front suspension softer, is it no longer an aufi r8 then?
Can you even set custom set ups with competitive scenario conditions? I've never tried.
