I did some DBZ BT3 speedrun and my last speedrun I reached the TOP 1 in both categories (Any% and All Stories) the run was accepted yesterday and today it was refused by one of the moderators who accused me of playing in an emulator. You can clearly see that in the speedrun I'm playing for PS2 Fat.

Please someone help me.

The loading screens are a dead give away, on a regular PS2 they are about twice as long, these runs aren't on a console, you are using something called open PS2 loader not a legit console. You could make a request to make an emulator category for this game

well why is it loading faster than a regular ps2 then?

I played on PS2 Fat with internal HD, of course the game tends to load at the correct speed. Playing on a normal PS2 or even Fat with a DVD (pirated or original) the game will logically take a little longer to load the screens.

the game also its AMERICAN and EUROPEAN versions logically has a small difference in load time and this has nothing to do with emulator or console.

I played on PS2 Fat, I did a fair and correct SpeedRun! I didn't use an emulator. I did a live run for several people to see. I worked hard to get that time and I'm not here to open unnecessary arguments!

It isn't running normally compared to other ps2 times, that's what i'm saying. just refer to Felipe_Retrogamer your fellow brazilian's run on the leaderboard, his load times are twice as long as yours using nothing but the physical copy of the game. The reason all the other runs load fast is because they are done on the wii, which loads quicker than the playstation

So my friend. Playing on the PS2 Fat's internal hard drive the game will run just as fast on Wii

Playing with DVD the game will run slow. I hope you understand that I'm not cheating or using a modified console or anything.

Basically the internal HD loads the game correctly!

And i'm not saying you did't work hard for it, i just want an even playing field

Are you suggesting that my game runs slow? I saw your run, you are an excellent player. I don't even think I could beat you in a game fight.

I did a better time and that's it! My game is not faster than yours.

I'm not saying it loads faster than mine, i'm saying it loads faster than other ps2 times and i don't think thats exactly fair, no i'm not complaining about that now, i've never heard of the open ps2 loader before and it looks like an outside aid to the playstation to me making it seem illegitimate because i think these runs should be done with nothing but the disc and the console and not using anything else making it fair game for everyone.

the best way to solve this confusion would be to create other categories for the game or at least cut the load time of the runs.

PS2 internal hard drive is something official made by SONY itself to play games in a fluid and clean way. It is not outside help as you are thinking. My run is legit.

Ah yes ... It is also possible to play on the PS2 through an external HD or USB stick. Playing with an external hard drive or USB stick the game runs slower than an original game disc.

I totally agree with making other categories, i think a new category should be made to save this kind of thing happening again. I hope you understand i was never saying you were a bad player or anything like that, i just want things to be fair for anyone wanting to run this game. Plus how come you can play tenkaichi 4 on your ps2?

Dragon Ball Tenkaichi 3 is one of the most modified Ps2 games there are incredible mods. My YouTube channel is kind of focused on that I recommend you to see. There are also mods for the Nintendo Wii although they are few.

In fact, my loading time was much longer, because I was playing via OPL with a fragmented pen drive, because of that the reading speed of the game is much lower, so much so that if you see the live I did this run on , the game credits were choked.

Go to 1:45:40 and notice that the shutdown is getting stuck, this is due to the reading speed of the pen drive that I used that day. If I were using DVD, the speed would probably be the same as Marlon. That's why I want the emulator category to exist, so I don't have to depend on a pen drive
