The big bad level finally conquered. I had made grinding attempts of this that got to 2000 game over resets before I couldn't take it anymore, and decided to go a different way rather than brute forcing it FC8-style. After looking into how the game's RNG works, and writing a program that replicates the generated blocks, I'd managed to come up with a drum roll RNG manipulation! Managed to get this after 830 resets, which while that may still seem like a lot, I know I've probably shaved about 10000 resets off than if I'd done it the normal way. I mean, FC8 took about 6500 to get and this was 2000 in and going absolutely nowhere, and needing all 3 blocks to be perfect while FC8 needed 2 and a jewel from the third is just digging the point deeper. One thing to note is while the run is sloppy, 7 seems to be the best you can do with this method, at least from my notes anyway. The good news is that the RNG manipulation works, at least: I've tested it with FC3 and managed to find a way to get a consistent 2 second setup after 1 game over, so I'll definitely post a tutorial once I've gotten all the kinks ironed out.
So there we go, that's 8/8 IL world records and I've lowered every record to the best of my knowledge and ability. Only two that couldn't be untied: FC2 because 0 isn't physically possible and FC5 because 4 was already untied and I don't see any way it can be lowered. I'm gonna make an assertion and say that AFAIK, all the FC records are now maxed but I'd like to be proven wrong.
